The second group includes varieties that can have 1-2 eyes at the base. Although in severe frosts, the entire overground part may also be frozen out. The next group of 3-rd includes plants that lose not mature shoots, and up to half can freeze and mature shoots. Hardy plants, in which all the ripened shoots are completely preserved, and not matured, only a quarter of them enter the 4th group. The 5th group includes plants, in which only the tips of the shoots can be frozen. The most frost-resistant plants belong to the 6th group. They usually keep all their parts intact. When buying a rose you should pay attention to its resistance to powdery mildew and black spotting. There is a special scale where, the smaller the figure, the more resistant the rose to these diseases.

About blooming

Botanists in roses also distinguish another important biological characteristic – the flowering time. For example, if you take into account its flowering time when buying a certain type of roses, you can create a garden of continuous pink flowering. Basically somewhere 60-70% of roses bloom in early summer or in its first half. There are roses that blossom continuously. Repaired roses have a repeated flowering. Many-flowered roses are covered with flowers a little later than large-flowered roses, and bloom until frost. Sometimes roses have a decorative effect and their fruits.
